Description

The term after school restraint collapse refers to when a child contains triggers throughout the school day only to melt down once home.  This activity, based on an erupting volcano allows the facilitator to work through possible triggers with the young person.  It is recommended that this then be shared with the education setting.  Also included a prompt to set an after school routine with the young person with opportunities to decompress being paramount for consideration. Examples included.
