Description
Emotions scale can be constructed as per example pictured. Emotions symbols in a range of skin tones is included to personalise each child’s experience. Included upstairs/downstairs brain resources, dinosaur and volcano options but can be further personalised for each child using stickers (I have previously used Inside Out characters).
This allows children and young people to order emotions as they see fit – especially excitement which children can sometimes recognise as a high loaded emotion or be supported to recognise. There are also sheets to record a child’s understanding of individual emotions (I feel when).
