The new Ofsted framework includes a much needed and welcome focus on the emotional wellbeing of learners. So how can classroom behaviour systems support this, and work to increase self-esteem and promote wellbeing whist still being effective at preventing problem behaviour? It starts with understanding why problem behaviour occurs and working proactively to promote the behaviours you want to see.
This 3-hour workshop for school staff will teach you how to implement evidence based, effective methods for managing classroom behaviours that will create a positive environment, promote wellbeing and help develop confident and happy learners.
Participants will gain vital knowledge to help them understand why problem behaviour occurs and why commonly used systems are often ineffective, counterproductive and can be detrimental to pupil’s self-esteem and confidence. Participants will leave with a toolbox of simple, highly effective, low cost (and no cost) whole classroom and individual strategies that can be adjusted and applied to learners of all ages.
