KIND HANDS AND FEET SOCIAL SCRIPT/ACTIVITY PACK

£2.75

Social script to promote kind hands and feet.

Description

Social script/story and activity to support children who are prone to lashing out with hands and feet, demonstrating the ‘fight’ response. This activity details physical feelings associated with anger, calming strategies and visual resources to support.  It enables personalisation through drawing and colouring. Social script explainer now included.

A social script (or story) is a tool used to help individuals, understand social situations, cues, and expectations. It typically involves describing a situation in a clear and structured way, to help the individual navigate and comprehend the scenario better. Social stories are used to teach appropriate social behaviours, routines, communication, and responses to different situations.

Social scripts should be read daily, particularly prior to trigger situations (for example after school in the case of restraint collapse) or as a reflection tool (to reflect and learn from an incident).
