DESCRIPTION:‘Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) is an umbrella term describing the range of effects that can occur in an individual whose mother drank alcohol during pregnancy. These effects may include physical\, mental\, behavioural and/or learning disabilities with lifelong implications’. \nThis three hour workshop will look at:\n• What is FASD and how is it caused\n• Diagnosis and Misdiagnosis\n• How FASD affects day to day living\n• Secondary conditions linked to FASD\n• Growing up with FASD\n• Statistics and how to prevent \nDelegates will have the opportunity to have their questions answered in a relaxed atmosphere from a friendly and approachable trainer\, Sharon Jackson. Free parking at the venue.
