The original version is being successfully run across Kent. Delegates will have the opportunity to gain a theoretical overview of the rage/anxiety cycle and to consider the underlying reasons for a pupil’s behaviour. Delegates will be supported to identify strategies to support pupils at each of the stages of the rage/anxiety cycle and to explore the reasons for heightened anxieties/emotions.\nDelegates will be provided with a resource pack to run the new enhanced 6/12 week structured intervention programme through sharing examples of effective practice. The programmes are structured to enable the pupils to develop their skills in managing their own crisis situations and to be able to reflect. Children will create a workbook and be introduced to a variety of visual supports which can be used as a management tool by parents/setting staff and enable consistency in approach. This programme can also be adapted for small group work. \nParking is free at the venue with display of a note saying ‘With The Contented Child’. \n URL:https://thecontentedchild.co.uk/event/emotional-regulation-including-anger-anxiety-3-3-2-3-2-3-2-2-2-2/ LOCATION:War Memorial\, Capel\, New Dover Road\, Capel le Ferne\, Folkestone\, Kent\, CT18 7JJ\, United Kingdom CATEGORIES:Anxiety,Emotional Regulation ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/png:https://thecontentedchild.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/emoballs.png ORGANIZER;CN="Niki%20Green":MAILTO:info@thecontentedchild.co.uk END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Europe/London:20191011T123000 DTEND;TZID=Europe/London:20191011T144500 DTSTAMP:20190921T235726 CREATED:20190730T085738Z LAST-MODIFIED:20190916T085450Z UID:208846-1570797000-1570805100@thecontentedchild.co.uk SUMMARY:BOUNCING BACK\, BUILDING RESILIENCE IN CHILDREN DESCRIPTION:With ever growing numbers of children struggling with anxiety and depression the need for children to be able to ‘bounce back’ from life’s challenges becomes increasingly imperative. \nResilience is the ability to steer through serious life challenges and find ways to bounce back and to thrive\, it helps people live happier\, healthier\, more successful lives and protects against depression. \n  \nThis workshop\, bought to you by Niki Green will aim to \n  \n\neducate attendees in resilience and its importance for child development.\nreflect on ways to be positive role models for children.\nteach ways to boost children’s ability to bounce back from life’s challenges and thrive.\n\n  \nAttendees will receive an extensive electronic resource pack after the event to further support learning and supporting young people. \n URL:https://thecontentedchild.co.uk/event/bouncing-back-building-resilience-in-children/ LOCATION:War Memorial\, Capel\, New Dover Road\, Capel le Ferne\, Folkestone\, Kent\, CT18 7JJ\, United Kingdom CATEGORIES:Resilience ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://thecontentedchild.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/IMG_E1186.jpg ORGANIZER;CN="Niki%20Green":MAILTO:info@thecontentedchild.co.uk END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Europe/London:20191014T091500 DTEND;TZID=Europe/London:20191014T111500 DTSTAMP:20190921T235726 CREATED:20171121T164222Z LAST-MODIFIED:20190916T091313Z UID:208784-1571044500-1571051700@thecontentedchild.co.uk SUMMARY:Anxiety – Helping Children to Cope DESCRIPTION:OPEN TO PARENTS OF ALDINGTON PRIMARY SCHOOL\, ALDINGTON \n‘Anxiety is a thin stream of fears trickling through the mind.
