SUMMARY:WHEN IT IS SCARY TO GO TO SCHOOL
DESCRIPTION:WHEN IT IS SCARY TO GO TO SCHOOL  – a series of recorded sessions with Niki of THE CONTENTED CHILD \nCOST £75 per family \nThis series of sessions is written for the child (and parent) who is showing anxious behaviours around attending school. \nThe aim will be to educate children around triggers in the school and home  environment\, an understanding of anxiety and the brain\, the negative bias brain\, physical feelings associated with anxiety and building a toolbox of coping and calming strategies. We shall also be introducing self-esteem building resources during the duration. There will be guided practical activities to consolidate the child’s understanding. \nThe recordings will be delivered weekly over a course of 6 weeks\, one per week\, commencing 8 April 2024. However\, the recordings will remain live and parents/child can access in their own time and pace\, although there will be weekly tasks to embed the content of the session. \nThere will also be educational posts and links\, suitable for child and parent. We aim to equip parents as well as the child to manage the situation. \nInitial resource packs and access arrangements for the private Facebook group will be sent out prior to 8 April 2024\, or upon booking if after 8 April – parent/s will need access to a printer. Further resources will be uploaded to the group as files for downloading. \nThere will also be the opportunity for parents to ask questions and seek advice in the group or via email. \nNiki has worked with many young people through the years with good impact and writes interventions which are delivered worldwide to educate children in emotional regulation. \nIF YOU ARE A SCHOOL AND WOULD LIKE A FLYER FOR THIS EVENT\, please contact niki@thecontentedchild.co.uk.
