DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A SESSION FOR GIRLS \n‘The things that make me DIFFERENT are the things that make ME’    (AA Milne) \nStarting from this quote from the famous ‘Winnie the Pooh’\, we will support young people and their parent/s to understand not only how they might see the world and react to it in a different way to their peers but also how to celebrate and build on their uniqueness. \nUsing accessible\, age appropriate mediums such as video clips we aim to raise your child’s awareness and understanding of their autism as well as give them the opportunity to be able to air their feelings within a safe\, supported environment. We will also offer practical coping skills and strategies to increase their emotional regulation and resilience. \nA supporting social story will be provided prior to the event. Numbers are kept low to ensure as much as possible that young people are not overwhelmed. An information seek will also be sent in order to cater to the individual. \nChildren will need to be aware of their diagnosis prior to the event. \nParking is free if you display a note stating ‘With The Contented Child’. \nCosts (to include extensive resources) \nParent/one child £45\, Additional Child £20\, Additional Adult £5 \n  \n  \n
